American Indian tradition exalts the Rainmaker. The Rainmaker used magical powers to
bring the rain to nourish the crops and feed the people. Without the rain the people
would weaken and die, or have to move elsewhere.
Today, a Rainmaker is a person who brings revenue into an organization, whether it's
for profit or not for profit. That revenue comes from customers and/or donors.
That revenue is the aqua viva -- the lifeblood of the organization.
Without it the organization will die.
Jeffrey Fox. "How to become a Rainmaker"
The Rainmakers events provide an opportunity for the people who have this
responsibility both entrepreneurs and intrapeneurs to rub elbows in a high energy,
positive format. They come together not to sell each other, but to become aware of
the other players in the game, to make friends and refer business to each other. They
are people of action who can get things done. They want to help each other grow each
other's business because they see the win-win in a long-term mutually beneficial
relationship.
Our events are designed to put these people in one room, teach them something
they didn't know or knew but forgot or just aren't applying, and to build relationships
that allow Business-to-Business professionals to grow to together.
Rainmakers is establishing itself as a cost effective networking opportunity that
sells itself as being fun, unstructured but yet a very productive use of time.
