Rainmakers Announce New Terre Haute Advisory Board
New Board to be Led for Two Year Term by Tara Lane, Director of
the West Central Indiana Small Business Development Center
INDIANAPOLIS, IN: March 12, 2007 – Rainmakers,
Indianapolis’ fastest growing business association, announced today
the list of members for its 2007 Terre Haute Advisory Board.
Led by Tara Lane, Director of the West Central Indiana Small
Business Development Center, the new Terre Haute Advisory Board
members will serve a two year term, providing advice and feedback to
the management team. In addition, they are responsible for involving
guests and new members in the organization.
“Terre Haute is a critical market for Rainmakers as we expand out
beyond the Indianapolis metroplex community,” Lorraine Ball
President of Rainmakers. “We are incredibly fortunate to have
someone with Tara’s skills and connections in the local community as
part of Rainmakers.”

The Terre Haute Advisory Board represents the broad range of
industries which reflect the Rainmakers’ general membership. Board

Guardian Systems; Andrew Davis, Cornerstone Financial Group; Kim

Independent Consultant.
About Tara Lane: With more than 10 years of business
management and community development experience, Tara Lane is
currently the director of the West Central Indiana Small Business
Development Center in Terre Haute, IN.
Active in the Terre Haute community, Ms. Lane has served on the
board of Downtown Terre Haute, Inc., the local main street
organization; Arts Illiana, Region 6 partner with the Indiana Arts
Commission as well as committee member of the Rocky Mountain Elk
Foundation. Retail store ownership is in her past and rental
property is part of her current entrepreneurial life.
Tara is a native of West Central Indiana, grew up in Clay County,
attended Indiana State University and lived in Vermillion County for
five years. She has maintained her current residence for 19 years in
Vigo County with her husband Rick.
