“Expensive Career and College Planning Mistakes” Workshop Held by KDM Careers
Indiana Career Coaching Company to Host Event at Fishers
YMCA on Saturday, January 19
INDIANAPOLIS, IN: January 7, 2008 - Indiana career coaching
company KDM Careers will be leading a workshop that helps people
dodge common career and college planning mistakes and turn that into
making confident decisions, including a 70 point Career Interest
Assessment for each individual. The company helps parents and
students get through the mysteries, unknowns, and worries of
individual career and college planning, as well as helping working
adults through career change or job transition as quickly as
possible.
“It doesn’t matter if you are a student or a working adult,
making career decisions or college plans are some of the most
important and difficult things a person will ever do,” said KDM
Careers President, Ken Moore. “There is long-term emotional and
financial impact from the choices made, and confident decisions need
to be made toward a meaningful world-of-work.”
According to The College Board, the lack of proper career
planning causes more than 50% of new college freshman to change
majors or transfer to a different University, which leads directly
to increased tuition costs, longer graduation times, or college
dropout. On average, a working adult will change careers or jobs
between six to nine times over their lifetime.
The workshop will be held at the Fishers YMCA on Saturday,
January 19, 2008 from 10:00am until 12:00pm. The address is 9012 E.
126th St. Fishers, Indiana . Registration is limited to Twenty (20)
people. Cost is $35.00 for YMCA members and $40.00 for non-members.
Register by contacting the Fishers YMCA at 317-577-2083 (ext 129).
