I know, Outlook is great. But a lot of good Outlook does when I'm driving down the Interstate at 65 mph (as if you don't speed either) and inspiration hits me.
Solution? Remember the Milk. Honestly, I'm not making that name up although I wish I had because I think it's kind of catchy. And once you harness the power of Remember the Milk you'll be doing anything but making fun of it.
Remember the Milk is an online to-do list organizer on steroids. Yes, you can do the basics like adding a to-do item, setting a due date and indicating a priority. But that is so yesterday's technology. Remember the Milk takes to-do lists to the next level with features such as breaking your to-do items into separate lists (think business vs. personal or client-specific to-do items), letting you email to-do items to yourself and even integrating Google Maps to specify the location where your task needs to be completed.
But let's go back a minute to my I-can't-drive-55 scenario. Say I am driving down the interstate and I suddenly think of an important task. Using Remember the Milk's wide range of service integrations, the solution is once again easy. I just grab my cell phone (using my hands-free headset of course) and call my Jott account . After indicating to Jott that I need to leave a message for Remember the Milk, I just speak my to-do item into the phone and by the time I get back to the office, my to-do item is waiting for me on my Remember the Milk to-do list.
Remember the Milk also integrates with a handful of other services including, Gmail, Twitter, Netvibes, IMified and more. The Gmail integration just happens to be one of my favorites since my to-do list just docks right along side my email meaning I never have to log in separately to my Remember the Milk account. It's always just sitting there next to my Gmail reminding me what I need to do next.
